The Coastal Conference Finals will take place on Nov. 13th at Kit Carson Park. The Coastal North and South Leagues run together to determine an overall Conference champion, and the race is also scored by league. Two earlier cluster meets count for 50% of each league's standings, and the finals count for 50%.

Coastal South

The La Jolla Country Day boys, led by (r to l) Lee Klitzner, Dennis Roth, Alex Fleischhacker, and Noah Wolfenzon, are favorites to win their 4th straight league title and should also challenge for the overall Conference title. Bishop's Will Botta has established himself as the individual favorite in the league.

Individually and for the teams, the girls race should be a battle between Canyon Crest and Bishop's. While Canyon Crest has the team edge and should also challenge for the Conference title, Bishop's Lauren Collins is the individual favorite. She will be pushed by Canyon Crest's Charlotte Kuzminsky.

Coastal North

Both San Dieguito Academy squads have the upper hand in a league that has suffered from attrition, with one school not fielding a team this year and others not fielding full squads. Individually, Sante Fe Christian's Andy Kramer is the man to beat, and SDA's Brendan Junge should be close on his heels.

The competion between the San Dieguito and LJCD boys for the Conference title should be a good one. LJCD won a mid-season contest at Small Schools, but San Dieguito has a history of making substantial late-season improvement and is always in the hunt.
